FAQs
What to expect in your first visit?
First appointments are typically 75 minutes. During that time a detailed medical history is taken. A complaint oriented exam will also occur if need be and a discussion of what further diagnostic testing is required to find root cause of disease or illness. Lastly the start of your health journey will take place by providing the first steps to your personalized treatment plan.
You would like to order additional testing, how do we go about that?
There are many additional tests that are not typical mainstream diagnostics which Naturopathic Doctors can order. These tests are usually recommended when additional information is required in order to assess the root cause of disease or illness. In this instant, we provide our patients with estimates which they can submit to their extended healthcare insurance providers to confirm coverage. It is always our goal to recommend the best possible diagnostic test when needed in order to undercover the root cause of disease.
Is Naturopathic Medicine covered under OHIP?
Naturopathic medicine is a paramedical service that is not covered under OHIP. However, most insurance plans cover Naturopathy or can be covered by a health spending account. If you would like to know if you have Naturopathic medicine coverage please contact your provider today. Every plan is individual and varies. Some extended health care programs cover some or all of the costs of many of our services. We do not provide third party billing at this time, so plan to pay for each of your visits, then submit your receipt to your insurance provider.
